Literature Text

We shed tears the day you left.
But God still took you without regret.
God knew your time on Earth was done.
We pleaded for God not to take you
But in the end God was the one who
truly won.
That night we cried in despair
We told God, "This isn't fair!"
It felt like our hearts had sprung a leak
Our tears kept falling down our cheeks.
This pain I feel is very new.
There is nothing that we could do.
Your picture is now placed in a frame.
It's a way to talk to you, a way to let go
of the pain.
You were always happy full of care
You smiled, you were always there.
Why did you spread your wings and fly
away?
Was it truly your time and day?
Everyone loves you; no one wanted you
to go.
But now you're gone
And all we can say is...
We miss you so.
Ummm I wrote this in grade 8 ¬¬ so you can flame it. It's one of my oldest poem well there is another one that I wrote in grade 5 I think I still remember it. Off topic. Anywho enjoy.

Woah. That really got me.

Well done there. A lovely piece of writing.
